Hi Aaron, It's been a long while since I've emailed you. It's hard to believe it was a year ago that you came onto the scene as The Eye! I'm really looking forward to it, as so many others so clearly are. Your views are impressively insightful, and in particular, quick-witted. I've followed this site, too, and really enjoy it. And now that it's time for you to morph back into your former self, it reminded me what a different tone that site was, and how much more mature and friendlier this little world you've created is in comparison! How do you feel about throwing yourself back into the frypan? I've noted some reservations aong the way, and I don't blame you. I often felt protective of you on that site, but you're as tough as steel, there's no denying it! But before the fighting begins, I'd just like to say good luck, and regardless of how you irritate some of those Big Brother teens (because you cut too close to the bone for so many, mind you!), a big hug and best wishes from one of your many, many fans here at this site! XO Jenny Thankyou very much, Jenny, that's very sweet. And yes, it's a hostile world, Big Brother land. Since I am a human being (you know, beneath the steel!), there's a part of me that sighs, and thinks, "Well, get ready for the shitfight, Aaron." Oh, the days of hate mail, I remember it well. But it was always dwarfed by the support, and by people simply engaging in an intelligent manner, and at the end of the day, they don't pull the focus away, and any moment where they do, I'm quite prepared to move beyond it. So it's all good! It just comes with the subject matter, we're about to venture into the very bowels of the suburban mainstream, after all, there's some really hideous creatures waiting there, and looking for a fight. I'm sure they'll find us. And there are some really lovely people in there, too, and I always felt good about providing them a space that pushed their buttons in a way they could handle, make them think about things a little differently, and for some, even offer a very powerful sense of connection. The good outweighs the bad. And yes, I'm covered in steel. Bring it on. Aaron
