Yes, there's no doubt that this news has been well received by many, and that's great - it's actually egging me on (there's a part of me - somnewhere, in there - grimacing, but it's increasingly being silenced and I'm currently getting excited, myself!).

 

As to the questions of forums. There's been some decisions made, and some I'm still unsure about. What I can tell you for sure is that sadly, no, there will be no forum board on EOBB. I'm sorry about this, I know it's wanted by many, and I understand why (I'd be the same). But the fact of the matter is that I cannot moderate the forum boards - it goes way beyond simply people being offended, but into legal territory that I cannot allow myself to go into. And it also takes away from the site and its place in the scheme of Big Brother. The focus of this site is written content, and the size and "nature" of BB forum activity is too overbearing, and takes away from the core of what I'm doing. There are plenty of BB forum boards out there, and I'm not going to take them on, what I offer is something very different to what else is out there. What will be happening is the YOUR SAY section, it's a much smarter way of including people in the process, and it worked very well, last year. I really encourage everyone to use this option - anyone who was there last year will know that this did work, and because of the different context it was actually very different to the Your Say section, here. What there will also be again is the Chat Room, so this is the place to go and chat and bitch with one another (you'll see me in there, from time to time, of course).

 

Now, as for this site. This is where I'm still up in the air. I'm currently thinking of leaving the forum board options open here but simply closing off new registrations - so if you're wanting a voice here if that arises and you're not a registered user here yet, now is the time to do so. But still, I encourage you to have your say in the Your Say section of EOBB, because obviously, this is where most people will be reading what you have to say. But don't hold me to this, just yet! But I must admit, I think this is what will be the case. At very least, there'll be no more registrations here while it's on (I'm not letting the BB kiddies into this domain, and I don't think most of the users would want that either, I think we all understand what that means). For this reason, I am also considering closing this down for the period, but as I said, there'll be a decision/announcement on this, soon. But EOBB is definitely as I've outlined above.
