Hi Aaron, Don't know if you'll read this, but it turns out we live in the same town! My wife enjoys reading your stuff and has tried to get me into it for ages. Admittedly it's not really up my ally, but I did take the time to read your take on this city. I think its a great place, but I'm not going to be one of those people with their head in the sand at the moment and there are plenty of those around. I'm really glad that you can see the impact that all this mismanagement of the towns spending has caused. In the past three years this city has boomed with seaside living and the highlife and the like, and this town has completely begun to shift away from what it was. That the town has also become a hotspot for drugs and crime says it all to me, and your one of the few people who can hit the nail right on the bloody head! Good on you. I intend to spend the rest of my life in this town. Its where my family have lived for four generations and will continue to live. But its high time this place had a good long look at itself and made some politial changes. Thats where the problem is to me, this place is full of bullshit pollies and council members who have pulled the wool over everyday Novacastrians eyes. The Newcastle Herald is also a big part of the problem but thats what happens when you get only one paper in a city, they can say whatever they like and nobody is going to challenge it. I don't know how many people from here read your site but I'm sure those who do will be using your article and getting some common sense out there. Don't blame you for getting out of here and I know that this town isn't always very kind to people who are different but we need people like you to open their mouths and stick it up the morons who run this place. I'm sure my wife will continue to be a big fan of yours and I'll definitely be popping in more. Newcastle for Newcastle people. Cheers Mat Thanks very much, Mat! And a big thanks to your wife, too! Drop in, as you see fit. Cheers, Aaron
