Hi Aaron, I've been coming to this site ever since it started (proud to say I was a loyal follower of EOBB!!) and was showing a friend your site yesterday and noticed something. My friend owns a mac and I've noticed you've said before that you also own a mac. What amazed me was how much different the site looked, it was much sharper and the writing was a completely different font! Do you design this site specifically for macintosh? Don't most people own PCs still? I almost want to buy a mac now so I can read it from this instead, it's so much better! I don't really understand the difference but I suppose it's something in the design. Perhaps you should do a poll to see how many people use PCs and how many use macs? I'd hat to think that most people aren't seeing this site in its full glory! Keep it up - love your thoughts no matter what type of computer they're on!! XXOO Donna Hi Donna, No need for a poll on the matter, my site stats package shows me exactly how many users come here on macs and how many on PCs (I even know what web browsers have been used). And you're quite right, the numbers on PC are much higher. However, the difference you see isn't anything to do with our design. One of the reasons Macintosh are superior (and more expensive, of course!) is the way in which Macs render font for websites. On PC, it still renders it pixelated, whereas Mac renders it perfectly, so it looks just like you're reading a book. And, unless it's a very expensive PC, you'll find they render colours without the depth and texture of Macs. I now have an Intel Mac (the first computer that runs both Mac and Windows) and I hate when I see the site on the PC side of it, it looks horrible to me (but I'm used to seeing it on a Mac, so I'm sure people who only use PCs see no problem until, like you, they see the same sites on a Mac). It's a total flaw in the design of PCs, and to say it not too pompously, it completely sux. Everybody start saving up for a Macintosh today, and see how good the site actually looks! And all sites, for that matter, it's across the board. I suggest using your pal's macintosh whenever you can! Otherwise, we just have to sit and wait for Bll Gates to catch up with Mr Jobs. Thanks, Aaron
