Hi Aaron,

Could you update me on how the social circle function works. I can't quite get what the instructions mean when it says I can write something that will appear when my cursor runs across an icon.

Actually, I really have no idea whatsoever what the social circle thing is altogether. It's bugging me because I don't know what to do once I have accepted someone into the circle or why I would really want them in or want to be part of theirs. It sounds like a great idea, but what do I do with it? Is it like some kind of myspace thing?

cheers
Sarah

Hi,

The Social Circle was really just an option that came with the user profile software, and we decided we might as well leave it on. It's like adding a "frined" to a myspace, basically. So some of us in the more regular registered user community here have become friends and have at least become acquainted through the chatlounge, etc, and so you can add someone to your social circle, and it just means they come up on your profile like a friends list.

HOWEVER, this worked in conjunction with the private inbox system, which as most of us know, had to be destroyed when we were hacked into. So that's coming back soon, and will allow the social circle to be part of things again. If you go to someone's user profile page, this is where you invite people to your social circle, which still is there. But to accept it, the invitation comes in your inbox, which is not currently there. So the social wheel has come to a grinding stop! But only briefly.

Cheers,
Aaron
