Hi there,

This is because your comp crashed, so you didn't hit "log out" in the room./ Also, everyone must remember to hit the actual red log-out thing, and DON'T just close the chat browser window (this also has the same affect).

If this happens, eventually, the chatroom will realise you're not actually there and will log you out. So don't worry, your mirror persona can't chat or anything! The only problem is that sometimes people will go in there and start saying hello to... well... nobody. So if anyone goes in there and thinks someone is being rude, it's probably just their "ghost", and they're not actually there.

I had the same problem a couple of days ago from a crash. My 'ghost' hung around in chat for a good 24 hours though. Possibly logging out of the site and signing back in will help get rid of it, or perhaps it was just a coincidence that it finally disappeared a little while afterwards (but not before I sent a worried message through the contact form. Sorry Aaron!). The nuisance is if your computer does crash, you can't just rejoin the chat under the same username, because the system forbids name duplicates. However, if your connection fails and you dont need a reboot, leaving the chat window open then using the appropriate exit button once your connection is re-established seems to log you out properly.
