I love the line...

"It's so funny because in America everyone has dreams of what they want to do."

You know, as opposed to people in other countries, who have no ambitions!! Lol. God bless her.

Do you think that we ( the western community) will ever reach saturation point on what celebrities think, do, eat, wear. Call me cynical, but I believe that it is all manufactured by PR companies and used by the mainstream media who have for various reasons given up on reporting news and found it easier and more profitable to just reprint press releases. Will the overload of this information ever impload into itself and disappear? I live in hope.

LOL, love her description of how a dolphin feels "Like a sponge with styrofoam". That idea seems peculiarly informed by the unreal world of film and TV ... or perhaps it's a 'stunt dolphin'?

I'm also so glad to know that Tara wears a size six bikini. Gee thanks for keeping us informed, AAP.

No sure Vanya, It's my impression that media has become increasingly celebrity-saturated over the last decade or so, and I can't imagine it'll improve any time soon; but I wish it would, or at least just recede a little.

Where have all the idols gone?

Past generations have had JFK (even with the Marilyn Munroe scandal), Martin Luther King, Ghandi, Mother Terresa.

What has the current generation got? Paris Hilton (Stupid Spoiled Whore), Michael Jackson (FREAK), Tara Reid (Party Animal, Drunken Lush), David Beckham (Highly Overpaid, Highly Marketable Soccer Player), Bill Gates (Microsoft Oligopoly Creator), Pesident George W(anker) Bush (IDIOT).

When we look back in ten years time, are these the people that we really want society to remember, and idolise?

I'm sure there are people out there that have made a difference to the society we live in, but all we hear about is these false idols. I'm categorised as a generation x-er, so who will generation y look up to?

My lord I hope it is none of the before metioned "stars" of today.

Hopefully we will look back and think fondly of Kofi Anan, Al Gore, Nelson Mandella, Richard Branson (that's all that really comes to mind, I'm sure everyone else can think of others, please add to the list to enlighten me and give people hope).
