SIGNING UP FOR PPBP - 2007/01/10 14:41 Hi everyone,
It has been brought to my attention that some people have had difficulty signing up to be a registered user. We're going to try to iron out this glitch, and I think it's only happening to a few people (but it's hard for us to know if people don't tell us they can't sign up, so maybe it's more), but until then, if you're someone who has tried to register as a user here, but was unable to do so, just send me your details - name (you can make that up if you're one of those people who create an alias for the net, but as long as I have something!), your email address, and the username you would like - through the contact us page, or email them to administration@aarondarc.com. I'll create your account for you and send you the password (which you can change, once you're in).
Thanks, and sorry to those who have had difficulties in this - we haven't had technical problems for a long while here, and they're thoroughly annoying when they happen, I know - so hopefully we'll get this fixed soon.

Re:SIGNING UP FOR PSBP - 2007/01/10 18:40 Actually, recently i did my monthly assessment of the site stats, and something I noticed that hadn't happened before was that number of returning visitors had increased again lately (it goes up and down, of course), but the rate of people registering had dropped dramatically. Usually, when there's an increase in returning IP addresses (meaning people who like the site and want to engage it) you get a respective increase in registered users. I understand that there's a division between people who just want to come and read and people who are drawn to the interaction, but it seemed odd that it would be to such an extent (you'll always have a portion of those people who come here who will then want to register so they can have a voice, so to speak.... and play online games, of course!!!). So maybe this is partly a reason for this, but until I got the email this morning, and then asked someone I knew who had told me they would sign up and didn't (turns out they couldn't register, either) I had no idea that this could be part of it. But there you go, looks like it might be.

Re:SIGNING UP FOR PSBP - 2007/01/11 14:52 Aaron, two of my friends had problems signing in! I thought they were just being lazy and making it up, but maybe they were telling the truth!?

Re:SIGNING UP FOR PSBP - 2007/01/11 16:39 If you could find that out for sure, Bisty, that'd be great! Someone signed up last night no probs, so it definitely is working for some.
