Did others see Todd's vitriolic attack on Arianne on the show last night? He called her a liar several times and insisted that she'd had dancing lessons prior to Dancing with the Stars. It seemed obvious to me that from the battering she has received from especially Todd, that he can't relate her chess brilliance with any dancing talent.

It seemed that he was trying to get rid of Arianne and boost up Kouta and Tamsyn. I thought that he was absolutely out of line and it reminded me of when he cut Nikki Webster off at the knees a couple of seasons ago.

Out of the three remaining last night, I thought it would be Tamsyn and Arianne in the final for sure. Rigged?

I agree, Mckenny's outburst was rude and unpleasant to say the least. This young woman is naturally a good dancer but Mckenny has continually marked her down...unlike the public who apparently have the good sense to see her talent.
I have enjoyed the show till now but it appears they (the sponsors) have been pushing for the footballer to win all along.
Dancing With the Stars....you lost quite a lot of viewers last night!

Oh, what a shame to hear that! I must say that after my article on the show, I haven't really watched it (I said I thought it was pleasant and harmless, though, not compelling!). But the chess player was my favourite.

I was told that the ratings have slipped a bit for the series, so perhaps they've resorted to more Idol style tactics and approach. A shame though, I liked it the way it was.

I thought his attack was truly appalling & his bias towards Tamsyn incredibly obvious. Todd really wanted a Tamsyn/Kouta final I would have loved to have seen his face when Arianne's name was read out as the first one through to next week.


Arianne has said in previous interviews (the pre-dance spiel) that she mathematically works out the positions on the dancefloor for the dances - perhaps this gives her an advantage, as she can mentally see what's happening, therefore allowing her the mental freedom to learn the dance rather than struggling to remember everything? Just a theory...

Today Tonight did a follow up. Apparently there are some people who actually taught her Latin/American dance only last year!! She is now saying "I thought you meant 'Did I have lessons in Ballroom Dancing'"??
Even though Tod is a smarmy b*****, I think he had done his homework and made sure that what he was accusing her of was true.
Anyway I think the best two dancers are in the final and don't mind who wins. I thought Tamsyn was good, but a tiny bit mechanical.

She was on Sunrise this morning saying that she had 4 lessons as fun with some friends & did 1/2 hour of ballet a week when she was in year 1. Hardly the huge amount of dance training Todd was accusing her of having.
Carmello & Arianne also admitted that Arianne is hopeless at walking & running steps that's why they twirl so much!
