YOUR SAY page - 2007/01/18 15:40
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to re-establish some rules for those who haven't been here all along. I've had an increase in mail, I'd imagine after putting Sebastiahn's letter on the front page and drawing people's attention to the YOUR SAY section. So, I just want to clarify how this works...
Anything that is sent to me through the contact us form is put up, and responded to, on the YOUR SAY section (located in the "Interact" menu). Now, if you want to email me something privately, that's fine, but on the top of your email, write NOT FOR PUBLICATION.
Otherwise, don't put anything. If there's no specification of this, I presume you don't mind it being there. So if you don't want your email published, make sure you say so! And remember, you can put whatever name on it you want (and I never publish last names, even if they're given), if you feel a little better being protected in identity. People have all sorts of different reasons behind this, and it's all good by me, do whatever you feel comfortable with. But just make sure that you let me know if it's intended to be private. I will not be held responsible for anything that goes public, if this has not been included. We haven't had a problem with this yet, and I receive many more mails than is published, so most people understand this rule. But I'm just envisioning it happening at some stage now that new people are using it, and so I just wanted to make this clear, if people are going to start using this option more.
