Yeah, I was the same, actually, I thought it was just a study of the affects of abuse on the victims, but it's actually an almost Michael Moore type of expose. But it's a great film, hopefully it will get TV rights soon and SBS or ABC will air it. But that deal sounds good value that you found.

I am so angry !

Caught "Four Corners" the other night while channel surfing, and sat riveted as they went on to show an hour or so of a discussion on whether "Australia's attitude to multi-culturalism, and if it is influencing more extremism ?"

Totally absorbing !!! Want to see it again and again.

The best piece of jounalism/media regarding Muslim lives, Muslim people and their views I have ever seen. Totally unbiased and very balanced.

One confused, upset, 16 year old Muslim school student, while attending a youth meeting for Muslim youth at school, brought up the point "if I live like a good Muslim, grow my beard, pray 5 times a day and live without alcohol, violence and do good at work or school, the media portrays me as an extremist! If I do the opposite and get angry when I have to defend myself from people like Cronulla who walk past me and say sh*t, even though I was born here, the media says I'm the trouble-maker! Where do you draw the line ? How can we ever assimilate ?"

One NSW council, evicted a group of Muslim boxers from their gym, after an application for a development extension to cater for the growing numbers of willing members. They were viewed as some Extremist group in the making and application denied ! Another rejected an application for a school in Bankstown at a council meeting, minutes earlier they approved an extension for a brothel !

During the same piece they also spoke with many only-too-ready-to-appear-on-camera rednecks from Cronulla and Camden (shocking alternate footage of the Cronulla riot, where two lone Muslim boys attempted to explain to the throng they "hey, we were born here too!", only to have some gutless wonder punch them from 2 rows back in the circle. And more of a completely toothless idiot from Narellan telling the cameras at a public (sic) rally in Camden that "no-one wants the dirty c**** here !"

I live in the greater SW of Sydney (Macarthur area) and have done for almost 25 years. Before that I lived in Lakemba (Muslim central) and to this day support the Bulldogs in the NRL.

That show is compulsory viewing for all that live out here. Hell, it's compulsory viewing for anyone who is at all interested in finding a balanced view on it all.

Problem is 95% of the community out my way is so socially retarded they'll miss the lessons in it !

It astounds me, how uneducated and set-in-their-ways people can get, and it wont stop them from trying to make a valid point on something they know absolutely nothing about !"

I come to this issue understanding a lot more than most, but even I sat spellbound and went away with totally new views !

Like your style Damo, loved all those docos you recomended. Aaron, I'm sure yours are great too, I have to get around to seeing them.

Saw that four corners special. I live in what is a pretty backward place, even though it likes to think it isn't. I related to much of it. We don't have a very large or visible Muslim community here, but still everyone is forever talking about them taking over, like its Doom's Day and they're about to multiply and infiltrate the entire country. Troubling times, as Naomi Robson would say.
