Nine's Super Tuesdays - 2008/04/04 21:04
Wow, never thought I'd see these kind of shows on 9 - since I was a kid I've always thought ch9 was for the older people (with ABC in the evenings for the really old - you couldn't beat it in the afternoons though!). Even now at 30 I still have the feeling that it's still that way - guess old habits die hard.
Having said that, I don't watch ch9 - actually I hardly watch FTA tv at all, even though in January I bought a STB. So I wouldn't have a clue what's on there at the moment. I'm gonna hazard a guess though and say I think the other two programs you are going to talk about Aaron are Moment Of Truth (which I saw a bit about on The View one day - W Channel on pay) and the kitchen one'd have to be some show about Gordon Ramsay? Good old Pay TV. I watched Ladette to Lady on it, too.
If ten wanted to rival ch9's new shows there's plenty I can think of that are on Pay at the moment that I don't think have been shown on FTA. Of course, I wouldn't watch them because I've already seen them on pay lol. But what seems to be popular at the moment on there are shows about Psychics (Psychic Detectives, Lisa Williams - Life Among The Dead, Most Haunted, etc), shows about modifying/building vehicles (American Chopper, etc - is that already on SBS or something?), and of course, reality shows (Next Top Model - which I know the American version was on Ten, Make Me A Supermodel, Project Runway - Australia's getting it's own version of that this year).
But good on 9 I guess for trying to break into the younger market. Out of all the FTA channels, I still prefer 10 though.
