WA Election - 2008/08/27 20:35
Since we're a bit dead and there are a few West Aussies around the place, I thought I might put a mention in about the upcoming state election (Also it is my focus for a lovely essay about PR and the media, and some brain picking at this point would be great...)

Maybe I am just switched off this year, but it has struck me that neither major party has invested much in television or radio advertising, giving rise to made-in-powerpoint shockers such as:

Or from the Other team and designed with similar cheap minimalism, but slightly more cleverness:

I guess the question is whether anyone will actually be swayed by this crap.

P.S. After the all controversy surrounding Channel Nine's use of 'the worm' during broadcast of the Federal election debate, they still managed to whisk it out again this time around, giving 50 or so Very Regular and Ordinary Voters Like You, The Viewer the chance to reflect on the feelings of the entire Australian public. and Make Some News. Which then turned out to be something like '57% of voters are still undecided'. Thanks, Worm!
